2013 has begun! I am quite behind in maintaining this blog, but the letters keep rolling in and rolling out. One of my "resolutions" this year is to keep the mail current, to respond timely, and to write more meaningful letters. This will be a challenge, but I am ready for it!
This month has been incredibly stressful. The talking heads in the corporate world have been telling us to shape up, and it's really put a dampener on my day to day work. The last two days in particular have been very very stressful, with lots of shouting and even tears at one point by my superiors. We are all fighting right now, some to keep our jobs, and some to keep the peace, so it's a bit much right now.
The only other thing I have to report is that we are looking for some winter weather to come through tomorrow. With the chance that I might have a day off of work, I very well could be all caught up with my mail! When the weather outside is frightful, I say stay in and correspond!
This too shall pass, Lucas. You will answer you backed up mail, and all will be well on the postal front. When we're tired at the end of the day, home is the haven we seek. Concentrate on doing something that's relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when I'd send you a Moleskine, but their paper is so thin now. I can see myself through it. :) I doodle in my journals, and I might use a stamp, so I need the pages to be bleed-proof. Let me know what you choose? Might be time for me to switch brands.
Hang in there. Don't worry about answering mail from me. I't is what it is. Enjoy your day off. :D
Sorry to hear work has been stressful. You could try using a sketch book for a journal, since many of those have thick paper. I will certainly keep an eye out for you. (You are also always welcome to vent to me in letters. I won't mind, I promise!)
ReplyDeleteI have also resolved to get better about responding to my mail in a timely manner this year. We'll see how that goes.
Enjoy the winter weather! It's just starting to snow outside where I am. We're only supposed to get an inch or so though, so not enough to let me out of work early :)
