This is today's outgoing mail. Well, they will be outgoing once I get return address labels on them and stamp them. I left both of those things at the house before I left this morning. They will be on their way soon enough!
A recent influx of new writers has led me to have to expand my mail log. I keep track of everything that comes in and goes out for each person in a 3-ring binder. Each person has their own page, complete with address. But, I've been missing something. Birthdays, favorite holidays, etc. All of the basic things that I should know, but don't. So, I created a little way to gather all of that information and some of you will be receiving them very soon. If you don't mind, just return it when you can. No hurry!
The mailbox really hasn't seen much recently. I think it's because of the large number of lost mail pieces I've had since August. I am really starting to get concerned, but I shall be looking through my log and sending something to those I know were part of that group of mail. I haven't forgotten about you, I promise!
How are you all? Write soon!

I wanted to keep track of all the addresses and birthdays as well, but somehow I didn't manage to do so - maybe I'll be able to realize that in my next mail log, yet that the one I'm currently using is almost full (one page missing...).
ReplyDeleteRight now I fear I'm way to often deadly ignorant towards birthdays and special holidays. Oops.
I didn't receive a letter from you since September and I only replied to that about three weeks ago - did you get that letter? You talking about lost letters makes me worry... I included a postcard from a tiny European country in that letter as well.
Take care!
I received it! I have been a bit strapped for cash to get some international stamps, but they came in today so I can finally get to replying to your letter!
DeleteHey L ! I've got a letter ready for you, will be posted tomorrow !
ReplyDeleteI love the envelopes ! Esp. the one with the big white flowers and curly things :)
ReplyDeleteI love the envelopes :)
ReplyDeleteJust finished a letter for you. Some mail will be on its way to you on Monday.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

A few words are on ther way to you, dear Lucas. More will follow. I try. Am glad your numbers are increasing. There seem to be patterns associated with us. We all peak and flow around the same times. There's flu season. We have to bring in the crops, compost leaves and branches, plow under to prep soil for winter, preserve and can food, build tornado shelters, decorate for t-day, rest the writing blisters, catch up on six months of back mail, freelance for food ;), learn French, find our lost selves, avoid breakdowns, stop drinking til we pass out, and sit still long enough to write,
ReplyDeleteDear Lucas,
How are you? Fine, I hope. :)
Be careful what you hope for. ;) people tend to write more during winter. I like your chic envies. I believe there is at least one little letter among the 16 that went out yesterday, with the real deal coming soon. Then there is always Christmas. :)
Be well.
